Coming out of Hibernation....

Winter usually means fewer gigs, which is not necessarily a bad thing, as it means we get a little time to do the things we never get to do during the busy summer season - catch other musician's shows, catch up with family and friends, and glamorous stuff like...housework.  Also it gives us time to recharge and reenergize for the coming summer months, and gig packed weekends.  Our calendar is filling up pretty quickly.  To our delight, we will be back on the Cove Country Inn patio every Sunday afternoon from 12:30pm - 3:30pm, starting the Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving.

Also, in addition to playing the Kempville Live Music Festival in July, it looks like we'll be returning to play the Limestone City Blues Festival in August - with a full band! More details later on. I gotta say, as much as I love our duo stuff, it really is a kick to perform with a band - Wowza.  We'll keep you posted as more dates come in.

In the meantime, our next gig is on Saturday, March 31st at Moroni's in Gananoque as part of a fundraising event for Joe Brady and his wife Sherry. Joe's a beloved member of the musical community, a fabulous bass player, and original member of Percy and the Teardrops. Kevin and I had the privilege of working with Joe in a Johnny Cash tribute show a few years back - Joe's a swell guy.  Unfortunately, he has cancer, and his friends and family are hoping to raise some funds to help the Brady's through this difficult period as neither of them are working.  Come down if you can - great line up of are musicians running all afternoon until late.

S'all I have for now.  Hope to see you soon! - Miss V
